Detailing Easy with Norwex!

Wow, my car looks brand new again, I didn't have to pay $250 plus to get it detailed either!  Its amazing how dirty your car gets with normal use, not too mention the grime the kids add with snacks, spills, muddy boots etc.  I am excited to share my before and after photos with you to see how effective you can detail your car using just a few products.  Keep in mind I didn't take any before photos of the mess and crumbs etc...but anyone with kids knows how littered and gross a car can get.  But I did take photos of the floors when I hand cleaned them using the Norwex Carpet Stain Buster & Enviro Cloth in minutes I hand cleaned my carpets, it was amazing how much dirt the enviro cloth pulled out check out these photos!

Carpet Before

Carpet After!

The brown stain on the right is chocolate milk!

Removed in minutes with Carpet Stain Buster and Enviro Cloth!

Heavily used drivers side

Looks much better now!

The back seat where the kids sit, notice the right side where no car mat is present there is a definate line showing where they climb up with dirty shoes etc.  The blue line shows where I had already cleaned up above, below is still dirty.

Fully cleaned back seat...looks so much better!

I was really impressed with the Norwex Carpet Stain Buster and funny thing was everytime I rinsed out my enviro cloth it too was getting cleaner!

To detail the seats, dash, consoles etc I used the Norwex Enviro Cloth I didn't have to pack buckets of water outside and I cleaned out the entire inside of my car with only rinsing the cloth once!

In the back where Sienna our family dog rides I used the Rubber Brush to remove the dog hair and bits in a snap, I was impressed how easy the dog hair wiped off!

Here is a photo of my outside carpet to show what a difference the Rubber Brush makes, the light color of my carpet in the car didn't show up well in photos so I had to improvise.

Carpet before

Carpet after, I did NOT use a vaccum on the Rubber Brush!

After cleaning the inside I ran to the car wash and did the outside and sprayed off all the yucky food stuck on my car mats.  Then I came home and dried the car off with the Norwex Car Cloth

Here are the after photos of my car wow did I save a lot of money and have a
practically brand new interior again!  Check it out!

My shiny new interior!

Kids backseat brand new again!

No more chocolate milk or sticky cereal bars allowed!

So to do this full cleaning I used the following products:
Norwex Enviro Cloth and Norwex Window Cloth for the interior which comes as a package deal!
Norwex Carpet Stain Buster along with enviro cloth to hand clean carpets.
For those with pets I used the Rubber Brush to get the dog hair, pine needles
and bits of sand out along with a vaccum.
Norwex Car Cloth to give the car a show room shine after the car wash!

You could add in the car wash mitt (I cheated and went to the car wash) and a coupon for free car cleaning and have a great fathers day gift!

Or use them in your Boat, RV, Camper as well as your home!

Norwex Antibac Microfiber Dusting Mitt

The Norwex Antibac Microfiber Mitt is your new BFF for dusting and cleaning!

I used to be a "wiper" dusting using a wet cloth or Pledge, but once you try this awesome dusting mitt you won't go back!  I did a demo in a home where the Hostess had lots of very delicate hard to dust collectables, one being a very intricate ceramic horse with a very scratchy surface.  I just simply wiped it with the Antibac Microfiber Mitt and it pulled all the dust from inside all the crevaces!  It took a dull looking piece and brought it back to life looking brand new again!

I also bring it with me to Safeway from time to time to clean all the wicker baskets in our bakery as they get very dusty.  The Mitt can get into all the hard to clean weave and pull all the dust out making them brand new again!  We used to have to pull them in at night and spray them off with water and let them dry leaving them smelling like dirty baskets.  The difference was shocking!

So if you have collectables or hard to clean items like canvas art, funky photo frames, candle holders etc, etc, this is for you!

If you have wicker or resin patio furniture and have company coming with no time to spray off your furniture, just give them a quick wipe and viola, no drying time!

It also works like a charm on window screens, high gloss surfaces like pianos and delicate furniture, and mini blinds!  You will love putting this one to the test!  Kids love to dust with it too!

Well worth every penny!  LOVE IT!

Microfiber Bath Towels and Face Cloths

I gotta say that the Norwex Microfiber Bath and Body products ROCK!

I treated myself to two X-large Antibac Microfiber Bath Towels and two Large Antibac Microfiber Bath Towels.  Where I live in Williams Lake the smell of the water leaves a fowl odor on used bath towels even with one use, I was continually washing my towels which alone was a huge strain on our water system and then the wasted hydro to dry those thick towels for an hour (even with dryer balls!).

The Norwex Antibac Microfiber Bath Towels absorb a huge amount of water and hardly feel wet and NEVER feel like a cold wet towel which I love, plus they have silver embedded info the fibers of the towel so that bacteria can't grow and cause those fowl odors.  I can reuse the same towels for weeks and they smell like they have just been washed!  SERIOUSLY!  It is actually quite fun to have my mommy friends over and make them smell my towels and then tell them I haven't washed them for weeks!  They know how much the towels get used with bathing smelly kids daily! haha  Any mom knows also how much laundry is in a household and towels add to that so reducing how much laundry is a huge time saver!

If you are thinking about purchasing some you won't regret it!  The X-Large size is the size you want for adults if you like to wrap up after a shower or bath, the Large size won't even wrap around me.  But for kids the Large size is perfect.  That said the large size will absorb all the water off you if you aren't a wrap up kind of person!

The only honest negative comment I could make is these towels will make your dry hands feel like velcro on them...you know that horrible "grabby" feel of microfiber!  But I have gotten used to it and its not bad...just a noticeable difference from regular towels.  Also they don't slide on your body like regular towels they grab at that water but once again, when you get rid of smelly towels this negative items seem hardly an issue!

The Antibac Turban is also a huge hit in my family!  Never again do you have to worry about spending hours drying your hair, or have your hair wrap fall off in the middle of getting dressed!  I even take it too the pool and wrap up Kalli's hair once we get out of the hot tub and it makes a stylish toque for the ride home!  Not too mention it never ever smells from the chlorine either!  I sell lots of them to clients who continually rave about less drying time, less hair static etc.  The Norwex Antibac Turban makes an awesome gift for hard to buy people!

And last but certainly not least the Antibac Body Pack face cloths like never before!  They actually remove mascara!  They are very soft and thin, which makes wringing water out a breeze for small or senior hands!  The microfiber is very exfoliating as well!  Great for people with sensitive skin or acne too!  They make a fabulous travel facecloth as it just needs to be rinsed with water and hung to dry and you can reuse it for days!  They come in a pack of 3 with your choice of Neutral or Vibrant color tones.  Or if you have kids you can get the Antibac Baby Body Pack available in a smaller size in pastel colors, a great baby gift!

Why Microfiber and why should I switch?

I wanted to get down to the nitty gritty on why microfiber is the cleaning method of choice versus chemical cleaners and disinfectants...first of all for those of you who are used to cleaning with traditional methods like comet, lysol, bleach etc...have you ever read the back of one of the bottles?

If not listen to this...as written on a Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner bottle (on the front it states it kills 99.9% of germs!)  On the back it says this: "TO DISINFECT: For hard nonporous surfaces such as counter, sinks, appliances and stove tops, spray until thoroughly wet.  Let stand for 10 minutes before wiping!!!

Now ask yourself...have you been properly "disinfecting" your surfaces?  Likely NOT, I wasn't!

It then also states that you must rinse all food contact surfaces with clean water after treatment!  Are you doing that??? I wasn't!

So not only are we not properly disinfecting, but we are then covering our food safe surfaces with nasty harsh chemicals that are then going into the mouths of our loved ones...

The Deal on Microfiber

There are no regulations put upon the microfiber industry so you really don't know what you are getting when you purchase Microfiber.  Low quality Microfiber is split by 1/6th the strand of a human hair, better quality microfiber is split by maybe 1/9th...NORWEX microfiber is split by 1/100 the strand of a human hair.  Every single one of this strands are "grabbing" your germs, bacteria and dirt of your counters!  Anyone that has ever felt a Norwex cloth knows how "grabby" they are!  So instead of trying to kill bacteria on your surfaces you are actually REMOVING them to a 99.9% bacteria and germ free surface!

DON'T CREATE A SUPERBUG!
Special thanks to Kerry for enlightenting me on this interesting fact!
When you kill germs on a surface you never kill them all. There is always that minute amount that gets left behind - already the strongest (this is why they survive in the first place). This minute amount perceives the threat to its existence and mutates to save itself. This is how superbugs get created, and this is why chemical companies continually come out with New & Improved versions of their cleaners.

Microfiber does not kill bacteria. It picks it up - in the same quantities as what cleaners will kill. It leaves behind the same amount (actually a little less), and this little bit of bacteria that is left doesn't bother anyone - in fact exposure to a little bit of bacteria is essential to a healthy immune system and scientists believe that under-exposure to germs is contributing to rising allergy and illness rates. The bacteria left behind also does not perceive a threat and therefore doesn't mutate.

The bacteria that is picked up into a microfiber cloth gets rinsed away. Any remaining bacteria in the cloth cannot proliferate because the silver in the cloth breaks the cell wall of the bacteria, and it cannot reproduce.

NOTE: If the cloth is allowed to remain WET, and/or if dishsoap remains in the cloth, bacteria can grow. Wetness breeds bactera. Dishsoap does 2 things:

1) makes a barrier between the silver and the bacteria so no contact can be made;
2) provides a food source for bacteria

What is wrong with chemicals?
So lets talk green for a minute.  Imagine yourself cleaning a cutting board after cutting some chicken with bleach in your sink.  (The water and bleach combo down the sink don't disintegrate into some toxic waste section of our water table...it all mixes!  As you have seen many chemicals do not biodegrade or break down).  So there you are at your sink flushing down chemicals, then think of your neighbor doing the same thing, and all the people on your street, city, province, country...can you imagine where all those nasty chemicals are going?  Into our watershed, streams, rivers, oceans etc.  Forget about that farm fresh fish you purchased for dinner!  Think big...this is a huge problem.  We have become such a clean society that we are flushing huge amounts of toxins right back into our main resource...water!  Do you purchase organic food?  Then why not purchase a healthy cleaning alternative too!

Norwex Antibac Enviro Cloth

Norwex Antibac Enviro Cloth

What can I say...this cloth has been the root of my Norwex business!
There is nothing that will wow a crowd and get attention like spreading butter all over a window or mirror just to see what will happen!

This cloth is the Ferarri of microfiber - of course much cheaper however!
Its rare I don't sell a cloth or two to every guest at one of my Norwex parties as it cleans surfaces in a way you have never seen before using only water!

Heres a few reasons why I LOVE this cloth!
- Removes tea stains with a simple wipe out of your tea cups
- Removes salt water film from marine windows when used with window cloth! - my mom loves this one!
- Makes spot cleaning a breeze without leaving a shiny chemical residue behind
- Removes water stains
- Use wet to spot clean clothing - I removed blood from a pair of jeans using only water!
- Also can remove red wine out of white carpet using only water!
- How could I forget NO SMELLY CLOTH!
- Picked up entire spilled YOP from a picnic blanket using the Antibac travel enviro size 6x6!
I could go on forever at all the surfaces you could clean with this cloth!
You gotta see it to believe it!

Check out my FAQ section on Microfiber for more details on the enviro cloth!

Regular or Superior Mop??? Which to buy?

My children love mopping with the Norwex mop!

Which Norwex Mop is for me?

I get the question all the time what is the difference between the Norwex Mop Starter Package and Large Superior Mop Starter Package.

The regular Dry Mop Pad is 100% polyester the Superior Mop Pad is made of 100% microfiber.

If you have pets, children etc...go for the SUPERIOR mop it is worth the extra few dollars!!!

It will find every piece of sand, dirt, crumbs, pet hair, human hair.  Whatever your mop pad won't pick up (cheerios) it will sweep to a pile and you can pick up with the enviro cloth.

This Superior Mop Pad is absolutely amazing!!!  The microfiber material wraps around the mop whereas the regular dry mop pad has sewn edges, I like this for dusting my baseboards while I sweep.

Don't forget to get the Rubber Brush to clean off your mop pad and get dog hair out of your car, your carpets the front of your furniture out of duvets etc...its an absolute must for extending the life of your mop so you don't have wash it everytime!

The Mini Mop is about the size of a swiffer.  If you have lots of furniture to go around this is a great mop for you.  The Large Mop is quite a bit bigger than the Mini Mop, it will cover more surface area faster.

The Norwex Mops are great on all surfaces you can wash walls in a snap with the Antibac Wet Mop pad as well!

For those with Laminate flooring please note...due to the amount of glue or product on the top surface of the laminate, you may find you get a slight fog look while mopping.  The best ways to reduce this is to mop with the grain of the wood, not against it.  You could also try using the dry superior pad wet over the Antibac Wet Mop pad, it makes it a lot harder to mop but you get a nice finish.  Just a personal note from a fellow laminate owner.
